The guys from Perkins+Will show us a few workflows to import geometry to Revit from different platforms.
The one l'd liked more was converting Rhino models into Revit families allowing the user to change the geometry. This
can be done using Dynamo to import a SAT file exported from Rhino to create
Forms inside a template family.

The process relays on the node
Spring.FamilyInstance.ByGeometry from the StringNodes
to recreate every SAT geometry inside an specific family instance.

As you may notice in the first image there are other ways to get a Rhino geometry in Revit.
Using Rhynamo or MantisShrimp nodes to import 3dm and
then use any DirectShape to create
the geometry on Revit. The downside of this procedure is that you can’t access
complex information about the geometry from the DirectShape itself and is not editable.
Finally, I would like to share with you one of the many good ideas
shared on the talk;
Revit loves solid, let’s do more of those (on Rhino).
You may find more information and instructions about the procedures here
